So soft and so delicious, its a perfect way to end a meal.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and grease a bundt cake tin.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients flour, sugar and baking powder and keep aside.

  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs till its fluffy.
  4. Add the oil and continue to beat till the mixture is light.

  5. Mix in the vanilla essence.
  6. Now gradually add the dry mixture, one spoon at a time and gently continue to beat the mixture.
  7. Add a few teaspoons of milk if the batter becomes too thick. The batter should have a ribbon consistency.
  8. Meanwhile, in a small bowl mix together 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup nuts, 1/4 cup chocolate chips and cinnamon powder.

  9. Pour half of the prepared batter into the greased tin.

  10. Now carefully sprinkle the nuts mixture over the cake mix and make a thick layer covering the entire surface.

  11. Pour in the remaining batter slowly over the nutty layer.
  12. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 150 degree centigrade. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  13. Remove it from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Then turn the tin upside down over a plate and let the cake cool completely before you drizzle it with citrus glaze.

  14. To make the citrus glaze, melt two tablespoons of butter and beat it along with 1/2 cup of powdered sugar. Add a few drops of lemon juice and mix it well.
  15. Drizzle the glaze generously over the cake and serve.
