More Kulambu – is the most simple and easiest kulambu that can be prepared for unexpected guests. As the name suggests it is prepared using curd and can be served in just 15 minutes.  With simple and readily available ingredients, this more kulambu tastes awesome. It can be packed to school and office as well.

Thick curd cooked with ground coconut and spices.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a kadai, heat oil, add mustard seeds and urad dal along with a few cumin.

  2. Once they splutter, add the shallots and curry leaves and saute.

  3. Meanwhile, grind coconut, cumin, green chillies, asofoetida, turmeric powder and soaked toor dal into a fine paste by adding little water.

  4. Keep it aside.

  5. Pour in the beaten curd. Add salt and mix well.

  6. Now pour this mix into the kadai.

  7. Add a cup of water as the kulambu will thicken when cooked. Cook on medium flame for a minute and then switch off. The kulambu should not boil, else it will curdle.

  8. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Serve this yummy More Kulambu with hot rice and appalam.
