Flavorful and tasty, the Coriander Biryani is a different yet very delicious biryani. Its a quick recipe that has lots of spices and will surely make your friends and family go wooo and aahhh…in its taste. You can also add your choice of vegetables like beans, carrot, green peas and cauliflower but the biryani taste amazing without these also. The coriander biryani goes well with raitha and is great to pack for lunch boxes.
Coriander Biryani

A quick tasty biryani!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Basmati rice soaked
- 1 large Onion chopped
- 1 large Tomato chopped
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1 Green chilli
- 2 Cardamons
- 2 Cinnamon
- 2 Cloves
- a few Mace
- 1 Star anise
- a few Black stone flower Kalpasi
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1/2 cup Curd
- 1/2 teaspoon Chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- to taste Salt
- Ghee or Oil
Instructions
- In a mixer, grind together coriander leaves, ginger, garlic and half of the green chilli into a fine paste. Keep aside.

- Heat oil in a pressure pan and add all the spice and the rest of the green chilli.

- Now add the onion and saute.

- Add the tomato and saute till its soft. Now add the ground coriander paste. Mix well.

- Stir in the curd.

- Add garam masala, salt and chilli powder and cook for a minute.

- Add the soaked rice and mix.

- Now add water and let it boil.

- Close the lid and cook on pressure for 7 minutes. Open the lid once the pressure subsides and let the biryani cool for a few minutes before stirring.
- A tasty coriander biryani is ready to be served.
