channa cooked to perfection with onion, tomatoes and capsicum along with fresh cream.



  1. In a mixer, grind the onions, ginger and garlic to a fine paste.

  2. In a kadai, heat oil and add the cinnamon.

  3. Add the ground paste and saute.

  4. Grind the tomatoes and add. Saute for a few minutes.

  5. Now add the salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and coriander powder.

  6. Mix well and cook for sometime until the raw flavour disappears.

  7. Now add the chopped capsicum.

  8. You can also add red and yellow capsicums, if desired, to enhance the flavour. Here in this recipe, I have used only the green one.

  9. Then add the cooked chickpeas or channa.
  10. Add little quantity of water and cook.

  11. Pour in a little cream and remove from fire. Transfer to a serving bowl.

  12. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with hot chapathis or rotis.
