Aloo Methi Paratha

Soft parathas made with wheat flour kneaded with delicious and healthy potatoes and methi.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a kadai, add little oil and saute the cleaned and chopped fresh methi leaves.

  2. In a bowl, take the required quantity of wheat flour and add these methi leaves to it along with salt.

  3. Add enough water and mix to make a soft dough.

  4. Add a few drops of oil, knead and keep aside.

  5. Meanwhile in another bowl, mash the boiled potatoes. Add little salt, cumin powder, garam masala powder and pepper powder.

  6. Take a small portion of the dough and flatten.

  7. Now take a small lemon sized portion of the potato mix and place in the center.

  8. Carefully close so as to cover the potato mix completely.

  9. Ensure that the potato mix is completely covered.

  10. Now add a little flour.

  11. Roll out by applying very little pressure, else the potato mix might ooze out.

  12. Heat a tawa and cook the paratha.

  13. Add a little oil or ghee and cook evenly on both sides until tiny brown spots appear.

  14. Serve these hot and soft Aloo Methi Parathas with ketchup or any raitha of your choice.
